What Missionaries Say About AAEO
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering each year provides salary support for me
as the director of the Lao School of Ministry so I can provide Biblical
training courses for Lao pastors and leaders in their native language. We
currently have over 100 students and have 3 more sites wishing to begin our
training. We give God all the glory when these trained pastors and leaders then
produce healthy and productive churches for church planting that reach many
precious souls in their community for Christ. —Thira Siengsukon, Church
Planting Missionary, Missouri
My wife and I are so grateful to Southern Baptists for the opportunity to
serve as NAMB missionaries because of their generous giving to the Annie
Armstrong Easter Offering. We are able to accomplish the calling that God has
for our lives as we serve in Indianapolis. —Tom Polak, Baptist Center
Director, Indiana
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is the avenue God uses to fund our
ministry. Without this offering, our ministry would not be possible. Because of
the generosity of Southern Baptists, we are able to reach out into the dark
place and shed the Light. —Jeff Hughes, Baptist Collegiate Evangelist,
Evansville, Indiana.
Your giving through the AAEO helps us to buy Bibles in the Inupiaq language
to give out to the Eskimo people in the Arctic of Alaska, which are given out
all the time. Thank you for your giving.—John T. Forrester, Church Planting
Missionary, Kotzebue, Alaska
Here in Maryland, we praise the Lord for the way He uses partnerships. One
of the best ways to partner annually is through the Annie Armstrong Easter
Offering. Annie grew up in Baltimore, where today her church, 7th Baptist,
under the leadership of Ryan Preston Palmer, is experiencing a special renewal
from the Lord, thanks to partnering and support from people who give to
the AAEO. —John B. Brittain, Associational Missionary, Arundel Baptist
Association, Maryland.
When you hear of a crisis center, many people think of an inner city
ministry. But, here in Batesburg-Leesville, S.C., the Annie Armstrong Easter
Offering supports me while I work to help people in a rural area with food,
clothing, and financial assistance. We help about 50 families a month. We
minister to people's physical needs while loving them like Jesus. We pray with
each family about needs that they share. It is a vital ministry that needs the
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Your gifts make a big difference. —Dianna
Cagle, US/C2 Missionary, Lexington Baptist Association, S.C.
I know of at least 21.5 million reasons to give to the Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering for North American Missions! That's the number of people we are
praying will find a church home in our community. Without funding through the
Annie Armstrong offering, we would never have started a church in the heart of
New York City!—Gregg Farah, Church Planting Missionary, New York
City
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering helps me be available to minister to 10,000
international seafarers from 70+ countries each year.—Jim Putman, Church
and Community Ministries Missionary, The Seaman's Center, Freeport,
Texas
Supporting the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering will allow more of our young

campuses.—Andy Weems, Student Evangelism Missionary, Dayton,

In the "Wasatch Front" of Utah there are about 1.5 million people, but only 33
Southern Baptist churches. That's one SBC church for every 45,450 people. The
LDS or "Mormons" have a "Ward" (their local congregation) for every 200 to 800
people. We are in desperate need of new works. Contributions to Annie Armstrong
Easter Offering help us start new works and support church planters.—Dan
Walker, Associational Missionary, Salt Lake Baptist Association, Salt Lake
City, Utah
If is was not for the giving of our many Southern Baptists, there would be
thousands of individuals here in the inner city of Detroit who would not have a
place to worship, a place to receive a hygiene kits, a quiet and safe place to
sit and have a cup of coffee, a place to have a hot meal, a place to get a
change of clothes, a place to have their mail sent to. Many of the children
would not have a safe place to come and hear about Jesus, or to spend a summer
day, or be part of a week at a camp that helps them to learn how to live for
Jesus. I am eternally thankful to all the members of our churches who support
the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.—Nathaniel Bishop Sr., Church and
Community Ministries Missionary, Detroit, Michigan
I serve as a pastor and a resort missionary in Lake Placid, N.Y., and Southern
Baptists giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering allows us to share the
good news of Christ with Olympic athletes who train and compete in our village.
These athletes come to Lake Placid from all over the world!—Derek Spain,
Special Ministries Missionary, Lake Placid, New York
The work of church planting here in California is totally dependent on the
generosity of Southern Baptists. We start over 100 new churches a year and are
now worshiping in 67 languages because our brothers and sisters all across
North America have a heart for missions. We are grateful, indeed!—Phil
Langley, Church Planting Missionary, Fresno, California
Through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, Southern Baptists make possible
for me to bring a Christian witness among the 20 different Native people groups
in western and northern Oklahoma.—Max Malone, Church Planting Missionary,
Yukon, Oklahoma
Without the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering we could not have planted 149 new
churches in Florida last year. Our church planting strategists cover all 49
associations in our state making an impact by reaching people for Christ
through starting healthy new churches.—Rick Lawrence, Church Planting
Missionary, Jacksonville, Florida
Our ministry in Iowa is assisted in a tremendous way through the gifts of our
fellow Southern Baptists. As I encourage pastors and assist in starting new
congregations, God provides for His work through His servants. Resources are
used to assist church planters, provide salaries for our associational
missionaries in this pioneer area, and strengthen the work in our
state.—John Shaull, Associational Missionary, Clive, Iowa
Here in Minnesota/Wisconsin, Annie Armstrong Easter Offering gifts are allowing
us to start free health care evangelistic events in every county in both
states. We are targeting new churches in 10 percent of the locations
representing 190 new church starts.—Perry Polnaszek, Church Planting
Missionary, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin
Giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering allows all Southern Baptists to
be on mission with me and with the rest of the Southern Baptists in
Metropolitan New York in doing evangelism, discipleship, and ministry among the
20 million people in the area, where at least 191 nations are
represented.—Romy Manansala, Strategic Focus Cities Missionary, New York,
New York
Our ministry in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., could not
happen without the assistance that comes through the Annie Armstrong Easter
Offering. Our churches alone do not have the resources to meet the challenge of
church planting and other efforts in a major metropolitan area.—Wayne
Bandy, Associational Missionary, Savage, Minnesota
