RAs Plan Bike-a-Thon for Annie

Jim Densmore, RA director of Duncanville's First Baptist Church, Duncanville, Texas, led his RAs to do a Bike-A-Thon as a way of helping his church reach their Annie Armstrong Easter Offering goal. People could pledge per mile or a flat amount and money was collected following the event. 

"This year we did a special manila folder for each boy, with the RA Pledge pasted on front and the story of Anne Armstrong pasted on the inside. This is what the boys carried their pledge sheets around in," said Jim. 

"For the actual bike-a-thon event," said Jim, "we found a place where there is little or no traffic like a new construction area where they have built road but little or no houses, but this could be easily done in a church parking lot if room is available." 

The Duncanville RAs raised $508.00
